Peter Bortnem

Dori has been a part of our team since 2015. She is, in many ways, the glue that keeps everything going. Her attitude and wonderful sense of humor help us all perform at a higher level. Ask Dori what she loves about Peter Bortnem State Farm and she'll, without hesitation, say our customers. "I really do appreciate and enjoy our customers and will give my all to make sure they have a positive experience. Just because you are talking to your insurance company doesn't mean it can't be fun."

A life-long resident of Cokato, Dori graduated from DC High School - Go Chargers and received her BA from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN - Go Cobbers! Prior to joining our team Dori worked with the Dassel-Cokato Enterprise Dispatch.

Dori's passion - her family and community. You'll often see Dori and her husband Hal spending time with her extended family. She's also very active with the Cokato Chamber of Commerce, the Cokato Royalty Committee, the Cokato Corn Carnival, the Cokato Historical Society and has been an active Rotarian, including past president, for many years.

Sporty sports sport like activities - no thank you. While husband Hal enjoys St. Cloud State University hockey - Go Huskies, Dori prefers theme parks, traveling, award shows, walking, or a good Nintendo game - not sports.

Sandy joined the Peter Bortnem State Farm team in February of 2015. When asked what she loves about working with State Farm, it's "the relationships. I believe I offer our customers life experience and a good listening ear. I want to be able to make a positive impact, whether that is in product, education or simply listening to where they are in life. And hopefully when a conversation/meeting is over they feel as though they have someone who is genuinely looking out for their interest."

Sandy grew up in Golden Valley, MN, one of seven siblings. Spending vacations in the boundary waters hunting and fishing, making an occasional trip to Alabama to visit her mother's family and playing hockey and downhill skiing during the winter, her love of the outdoors is part of who she is.

With eight children and twenty-one grandchildren, family is, no doubt, a passion. She also loves horses, which is evidenced by forty-five years of showing, competing, training and trail riding, and spends time volunteering with a youth group and teaching young people the love of connecting with a horse.
